After 2 years of covid chaos we wanted a treat for our holiday, and this gite really delivered! We adored our 2 week stay here in June, the house was so comfortable & very well equipped, the pool was a dream and Yves & Stijn were charming hosts! Our kids adored the dormitory and all the outside games, this is a great choice for families

Celebrating my 60th birthday this weekend in the two pavilions of Château Portos will remain an unforgettable memory! Because even if it’s the quality of the guests that makes the moment, there is no doubt that the choice of venue contributes very strongly to the success of an event. And here, everything is perfect! What a lovely holiday we’ve had!
We received a warm welcome; the gate literally swung open for us. We were given a proper tour with all the necessary information. The house itself is comfortably furnished and equipped with every modern convenience. There’s plenty of space for everyone. A stroll through the castle grounds at dusk really makes you feel like a lord or lady of the castle.
The owners, Yves and Stijn, are charming hosts – or even lords of the castle – and are always on hand should any issues arise.
There are several lovely towns to visit in the wider area (Sorèze, Durfort, Saissac), and a little further afield, Carcassonne is well worth a day trip.
The kids had a brilliant time at the Nat'venture park in Puylaurens, which was definitely worth a visit!
We also sought out some extra cooling off or playtime at Bassin Lampy (for catching fish and swimming) and Lac Saint-Ferréol (for swimming and boating).
In short, a holiday that was once again too short...
