We’ve just spent a lovely relaxing 2 weeks here and I have to say it was everything and more. The villa itself is spacious and spotlessly clean. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything you would ever need. Beds are very comfortable. Communication with the owners was superb from the very first enquiry. The pool was exceptional. We spent most afternoons here with a glass or two of vino. I would definitely recommend you have a car as there are so many lovely places to visit within an hour. Ginestas itself is a lovely little place and walkable from the villa within 10 minutes. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Villa Mimarmel 29th June-6th July 2024 and had the most wonderful time.
We have stayed in many Villas over the years and can honestly say this has got to be the best yet!
So well equipped with everything we needed and more. Quality crockery and glassware and so much of it. Lots of games and books for both adults and children and also pool toys in the chest outside.
Welcome hamper.. wow, what can I say it was amazing ! Cereal, Tea bags, Coffee, Biscuits, Crisps,Red Wine and more. In the fridge were Beers, White Wine and Soft drinks.
We were a party of 4 adults and had so much space, all open plan and beautifully furnished and spotlessly clean.
Outside area was fabulous, large shaded dining area, beautiful garden with shaded seating areas and large spotlessly clean pool with plenty of sun loungers.
The village of Ginestas is literally a 5 minute walk from the Villa with a small supermarket/tabac,Pharmacy and Bakery. There’s also a Wine/Tapas bar and a couple of restaurants, we can highly recommend Table du Casino, we visited 3 times when we were there. There’s also an Intermarche Super less than 10 minutes drive away for a big shop.
Finally a huge thank you to Penny and Robert (the owners) excellent communication and quickly responded to my many questions!
Would highly recommend and we will definitely return.

Fabulous return visit! The villa is always so clean, comfortable and welcoming. Air con was not always needed, but fab when we did. Thanks again – we’ll be back! We love it here.

Such a beautifully appointed property and pool that went above our expectations. Immaculately clean, a thoughtful welcome hamper filled with such useful supplies. After years of renting villas I always take the basics with me but totally unnecessary here. Consequently on arrival we felt completely at home in an area that we really love and would have happily stayed longer!

What a lovely few days we’ve had staying at “Mimarmel”. The location was perfect for the wedding venue. Restaurants within easy reach were all excellent. Bread from the boulangerie was beautiful. We enjoyed every day in the “Gin & Tonic pool” and the villa was so clean and well equipped, who could ask for more. We’ve made so many happy memories from our stay here.

Wat een heerlijke plek is dit! Echt een aanrader!
Wij verbleven hier een weekje, maar hadden hier vrólijk nog een week langer kunnen blijven. Het huis is ruim (met airco) en ligt in een prachtig dorpje met meerdere leuke (kindvriendelijke) restaurantjes, een fijne bakker, noem maar op. Zee en bezienswaardigheden (Carcassonne, bijvoorbeeld) zijn in de buurt, maar de grootste troef is natuurlijk dat prachtige zwembad! Zó groot en mooi schoon!
Wij hebben hier een heerlijke vakantie gehad en komen graag weer terug!

We had a wonderful, relaxing week at Villa Mimarmel.
The villa was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we could need to make our stay stress free and comfortable.
The pool area is great and we all enjoyed lots of swimming - very refreshing after a morning's sightseeing in the local area.

What a superb villa and holiday! We are a family of four with two teenage daughters. The villa was sparkling client and tidy on arrival as expected. Wonderful, pristine facilities in a delightful location within walking distance to the local village, which offers cafes/restaurants, boulangerie and pharmacy, easily accessible on foot. The swimming pool was a great size and a welcome break from the heat. With air conditioning too this villa has everything to offer and in close proximity to supermarkets and the vibrant town on Narbonne. We would have no question in recommending this lovely villa. The owners Robert & Penny were a delight to liaise with and Yvonne and Rob did a wonderful job of looking after it in France. Thank you so much, we look forward to returning in the future!

Well what an extraordinary time to be on holiday - during this terrible world Covid19 pandemic! We experienced more and more restrictions on our activities by the French Government whilst we were there and it was comforting to know that we had such a lovely home to be in lockdown at. We have been holidaying in France for 30+ years and this villa ranks up there with the best. The bed was really comfortable, important as you get older! The lounge was a lovely area with 2 good sofas. We had both French and English TV but prefer to watch French programmes whilst there. The garden is so private and would have been nice to sit out if the weather had been a little warmer! Locally we enjoyed our stroll down to the Canal du Midi, which is only around 30 minutes away but much of our activity was curtailed by the French lockdown. We did manage to visit the Chateau de Peyrepertuse, parking near the village and walking up to the chateau. The views from the top were fantastic on a glorious sunny day. The owners couldn’t have been more helpful and understanding given the situation. We were hampered by both the weather and world circumstances on our holiday but couldn’t have imagined a better place to be confined to. We really hope to return when everyone’s lives have returned to normal. Keep safe and healthy everyone.
